It’s easier to see a light on your telephone flashing to show that you have a message waiting than to have to pick up the telephone every now and then to get an audio message notification.
Of course one of the main advantages over using mobile communications systems while travelling on business is that Mr Businessman is set free to enjoy the sights and delights rather than be tied to his hotel room waiting for the phantom call that never comes…!
