Premium Rate Numbers Revenue Generators?
Premium Rate Phone Charges and Revenue Sharing Numbers within the NHS
Premium rate numbers are revenue generators for many businesses. Ringing premium rate numbers can cost up to ten pence per minute. One phone call of over five minutes can generate businesses 5p per/min at peak rate. For the whole year in average this can bring in approx £300,000 as big businesses deal with at least 3000 calls per day. Many businesses make enough money through these numbers to pay the salary of most of their staffs. I am not saying it is a bad thing I am saying this is a great opportunity to build your business and take it to the next level if you have a service which people might use in regular basis then I highly recommend using these premium rate numbers.
Some of the examples of premium rate numbers are 0870 numbers, 0845 numbers, 0871 numbers and 0844 numbers. Most businesses these days are targeting this number as it is an opportunity to generate money. One simple example using these premium rate numbers to generate revenue is to use this number for helpline or technical support as most IT companies in the UK. After you ring the number you have to wait in the cue for god knows how long but it is guaranteed to be atleast 10 minutes holding for someone to be on the other end then some more time to tell them about the problem and then to fix it.
Another problem most of us have is it is very rare that calls to these numbers are free from your home telephone or work telephone like. Mobile Networks do not even provide free calls to free numbers like 0808 and 0800 numbers so calling 0870, 0845, 0844 numbers will be more expensive. BT and some other network providers are starting to include 0845 and 0870 in some of their packages but do not apply to 0844 and 0871 numbers.

Revenue Management $12.81 From the man the Wall Street Journal hailed as "the guru of Revenue Management" comes revolutionary ways to recover from the after effects of downsizing and refocus your business on growth.Whatever happened to growth? In Revenue Management, Robert G. Cross answers this question with his ground-breaking approach to revitalizing businesses: focusing on the revenue side of the ledger instead of the cost side. The antithesis of slash-and-burn methods that left companies with empty profits and dissatisfied stockholders, Revenue Management overturns conventional thinking on marketing strategies and offers the key to initiating and sustaining growth.Using case studies from a variety of industries, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations, Cross describes no-tech, low-tech, and high-tech methods that managers can use to increase revenue without increasing products or promotions; predict consumer behavior; tap into new markets; and deliver products and services to customers effectively and efficiently. His proven tactics will help any business dramatically improve its bottom line by meeting the challenge of matching supply with demand. |
